I’ve suffered with mental health problems for well over a decade and for long periods struggled to cope with it.Initially I got diagnosed with deep rooted anxiety and low lying depression,I really thought my life was over and wondered what I’d done to deserve this.
Having tried several forms of treatment like counselling, hypnotherapy,cognitive behavioural therapy and medication,one thing has helped me more than any and that’s exercise.
The buzz I get from exercising is unreal. It’s almost addictive,it makes me smile and forget any stresses or the bad day I’ve had.
After ten years of taking antidepressants I’ve now come off them and feel good,that paired with exercise has made me feel alive again.
From the first time I came to cross fit for my initial chat with Ben I was made to feel welcome straight away.
After a difficult period of my life personally I’m excited about the future and my development at Ulysses
